Why does this work matter?
YouthCARES is a research-practice partnership that brings together high school and undergraduate students, educators, and researchers to co-design climate justice curriculum and promote civic action. The project's Module is to empower high school students to develop critical awareness of the climate crisis and environmental injustice, allowing students to take collective action for a more equitable, just and sustainable future. YouthCARES explores how collaborative, transdisciplinary learning can amplify youth voices and advance the role of education in the climate justice movement.
