In 2023, we launched our climate course with the goal of elevating youth voices and having students be authentic co-designers of the course. From this vision, YouthCARES was born. As student interns, high school students engage in educational research, analyze artifacts, and provide feedback to improve the course based on findings.

I’m continually inspired by our young people, and I learn from them every day, especially from students whose voices are too often underrepresented. The YouthCARES project demonstrates what powerful learning can look like when we design learning for a just & sustainable future and empower youth as change agents in the communities.
